Today we are honoring, Patty Rodríguez. Patty is known nationally for her roles as an entrepreneur, producer, radio personality, co-founder of the children's book publishing house Lil Libros. She is from Lynwood, CA and is the daughter of Mexican immigrants. Lil Libros was born because she wanted to make sure her son grew up in a bilingual environment where he would learn to understand, respect and appreciate his family's culture. She decided to start the publishing house with her friend and another first-generation Mexican American mom, Ariana Stein. With no publishing experience, Patty and Ariana have managed to get their books into Target and Barnes & Noble stores and has made almost 3 million in sales. And, not to mention a recent partnership with Jessica Alba's Honest Company.
